The Museum of
Ancient Art
It is situated near the place Royale. The permanent exhibition is
about paintings and sculptures from the 15th to 17th century. There is a
remarkable collection of Primitive Flemish artists and pieces of Peter-Paul Rubens.
The Museum of Modern Art
It shows art from the end of the 18th century up to our days. A special
room is dedicated to the painter Rene Magritte, where the biggest part of his
works is kept. Pieter Bruegel, Rembrandt, Jacque-Louis David, Ingres, Géricault, Delacroix, and many others are
housed in this Art’s temple.
The Bozar center
This association groups 8 poles (architecture,
cinema, dance, expo, literature, music, theatre, studios) to offer you a
complete season of art all around the city,provided to insert the art inside the city’s
life.
Another place to be for the ones who love arts is the Sablon Place. Around
that place, you’ll find numbers of art galleries, antiquaires, and art shops.
Brussels has its own Taschen Store, with every art-books you can imagine. There
are also numbers of exhibitions in the streets during all the year. Brussels is
a creative and young city where the art has its own place.
